Housing and Masjid Township Project
MISSION, BC
History
Founded in 1892, the first inhabitants of the region were the Sto:lo First Nationals people. They traveled the Fraser River in large canoes to trade salmon, fruits, and other goods.
Today, it is a bustling centre of 38,000 residents, nestled on gentle mountain slopes overlooking the lush Fraser Valley, only 15 minutes from the US border and within 1 hour of Vancouver.
West Coast Express
Located close to Downtown Mission, this express train service provides easy access to Vancouver Waterfront, providing an efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly mode of transportation for those that work in BC's largest metropolis.
The train also connects the cities of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Coquitlam, amongst others.
Nature's Playground
Offering some of the best that British Columbia has to offer, Mission is abound with parks, trails, and spectacular natural beauty.
Directly south of Mission is the Fraser River and the community of Maple Ridge lies to the west.
To the north lies Stave Lake with its campgrounds, and to the East the mighty Rockies, Canada's largest mountain range.
